This is slice of life, based on a true story about Renee Vivien, a well-known poet in the first decade of the 20th Century. She wrote beautiful sometimes erotic, sometimes painful poems about her life and loves (that included Natalie Barney and Baroness de Rothchild.) For three years she carried on a passionate letter writing affair with Kerime, a married Islamic woman. The film imagines the last time that they see each other before Kerime's husband takes her away
